  Helen completed the London Marathon April 2010 to raise 1500 pounds for Help the Aged - they really are there at root level covering all Elderly needs, so they (WE!) can grow older with dignity.  With injury the target time of 4 hours was not possible, and completion was the only option with the amazing crowds support.  I'll be giving it another go next year as the training this winter in Arosa on all the stunning trails has changed my life.  Bring on the summer trails!

I shall send a virgin marathon postcard (on order) to all my sponsors to announce the winners of the chalet holidays..many thanks again for being part of such a massive day for charities.

Chalet Runca was the film set for the film, Champions, out in Swiss previewed at the Arosa ice rink 18th December 2009, and then showed in cinemas, then it will be out on DVD, for our guests to watch when here on holiday.  It is a comedy, along the theme of the Blues Brothers, but the subject matter is reforming the Ice Hockey team, whic whipped the country into a frenzy of excitement in the eighties, by hitting the big league through pure passion.  The highest goal scorer of several years in the Eighties, Guido Lindeman, had Chalet Runca built during this time, to be his family home.  The garage is still lined up for scoring practice, and the sons now play for the Zurich teams professionally.
